Popular FAQs

What is an eSIM?
An eSIM (embedded SIM) is a digital SIM card built right into your phone. It allows you to activate a cellular plan from a carrier without having to use a physical, removable SIM card. You can download multiple eSIM profiles and switch between them easily.
When should I install my eSIM?
We recommend installing your eSIM a day before your departure while you still have a stable Wi-Fi connection at home. Your plan's validity will only begin once the eSIM connects to a supported network in your destination country.
Can I keep my WhatsApp number?
Yes! Because our eSIMs are primarily for data, you keep your original physical SIM active in the background for SMS/Calls, or just use web apps over the data connection. WhatsApp will continue to work using your existing phone number without any setup changes.
How do I delete an eSIM from my dashboard?
Open My eSIMs, find the eSIM you want to remove, then click View eSIM to open the eSIM details page. On the Plan Details card, click Delete eSIM and confirm the prompt.
What if I delete my eSIM by mistake?
Get in touch with customer support and share your order number. Support may be able to retrieve the eSIM and restore it to your dashboard, especially if the eSIM has not expired.

Compatible Devices

Important: Your phone must be network-unlocked. If you bought your phone via a carrier contract, contact them to unlock it before purchasing an eSIM.

Installation Instructions

Before you start: Install your eSIM while connected to stable Wi-Fi. Do not delete the eSIM after installation, because most eSIM QR codes can only be installed once.

Install on iPhone

  1. Open Settings, then go to Cellular or Mobile Service.
  2. Tap Add eSIM, then choose Use QR Code.
  3. Scan the QR code from your OneSIM email or customer dashboard.
  4. When asked to label the line, name it OneSIM or your destination.
  5. Keep your primary SIM as the default line for calls and SMS if you still need your normal number.
  6. For Cellular Data, choose the OneSIM eSIM when you are ready to use the plan.
  7. Open the OneSIM line settings and switch Data Roaming on.

Install on Samsung or Android

  1. Open Settings, then go to Connections or Network & Internet.
  2. Open SIM Manager, SIMs, or Mobile Network.
  3. Tap Add eSIM or Download a SIM instead.
  4. Scan the QR code from your OneSIM email or customer dashboard.
  5. Name the eSIM OneSIM or your destination so it is easy to identify.
  6. Set the OneSIM eSIM as the SIM for mobile data when you are ready to connect.
  7. Open the OneSIM mobile network settings and switch Data Roaming on.

When you arrive

Turn off Wi-Fi, select the OneSIM eSIM for mobile data, and make sure roaming is enabled on that eSIM line.

If it does not connect

Toggle airplane mode on for 30 seconds, restart the phone, then check that the correct eSIM is selected for mobile data.

Avoid common mistakes

Do not delete the eSIM, do not leave mobile data on your home SIM, and do not forget to enable data roaming.

Quick pre-travel checklist
  • Your device is eSIM-compatible and network-unlocked.
  • The eSIM is installed while you have stable Wi-Fi.
  • The OneSIM line is turned on.
  • Mobile data is set to the OneSIM eSIM when you want to use it.
  • Data roaming is turned on for the OneSIM eSIM.
  • Your primary SIM remains selected for calls and SMS if you want to keep receiving them.
Deleting an eSIM from your dashboard
  1. Go to My Account and open My eSIMs.
  2. Click View eSIM for the eSIM you want to remove from the list.
  3. On the Plan Details card, click Delete eSIM.
  4. Confirm the prompt. The eSIM will disappear from your dashboard list.

Deleting an eSIM here is a dashboard clean-up action. If you still need to cancel service, request support, or restore a hidden eSIM, contact support with your order number.
